The Last Time is the story of Charley Mason. Being a teenager is hard enough, but when her family relocates from Georgia to New York to take care of her ailing grandfather, Charley is forced to deal with issues she has never confronted before. At her new school, one of the most popular girls in the class is jealous of Charley and does everything she can to alienate her from her peers. But Angelica’s antics are the least of Charley’s worries. She must also deal with her feelings of separation from her best friend, Frankie, and fear over losing her grandfather. Fortunately, she has baseball to fall back on.
