Drop the Puck cover small    (St. Paul) - One of The Arc Greater Twin Cities’ most popular events of the year – The Arc in the Park Summer Celebration – takes place on Mon., June 22, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Como Park Pavilion, located at 1199 Midway Parkway in St. Paul.                              

    Approximately 250 families are expected to attend the event, which this year will feature a delicious picnic dinner, free rides on a carousel, face painting, Dilly Bars provided by Dairy Queen and an introduction to some new children’s book characters who are sure to inspire the kids.

   Like many of the kids who will be attending the picnic, Blaine, the main character in Drop the Puck: It’s Hockey Season, has Down syndrome, and a brother, Cullen, who watches out for him. Author Jayne Jones will read from the book and sign copies.
